Mirror Lake is a small, seasonal lake located on Tenaya Creek in Yosemite National Park. Situated in Tenaya Canyon directly between North Dome and Half Dome, it is the last remnant of a large glacial lake that once filled most of Yosemite Valley at the end of the last Ice Age.

Mirror lake. But more like LAME lake for the most part. After failing to realize that dogs are not allowed on any of the trails and the road leading to mirror lake was the ONLY place I could take my puppy, it was a nice easy walk up the road but to find a majority of mirror lake dried up. I have seen mirror lake when its a little more full, in which its great, but even in late August, the lake was bare dry as all the families were taking in the rocky sand and having lunch in the middle of the lake. Obviously some rangers don't care about the "no dog" rule because a ranger didn't have a problem with mine or a couple of other families dogs in the lake area, even though it was obviously posted that dogs were ...
