The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles houses approximately 6,800 pieces of visual media, including recently crafted works by young artists. MOCA is one museum that can be found in three different locations.The Panza Collection was acquired from Giuseppe and Giovanna Panza di Biumo of Milan. The collection was purchased in 1984 and includes works by Mark Rothko and Franz Kline, among others. The museum showcases artwork from accomplished California artists. The Lannan Foundation donated 114 works in 1997. MOCA research library is focused on the study of art created in the United States, Europe, the Pacific Rim, and Latin America. The museum offers a variety of educational programs for teens. Realizing the importance of family involvement, the museum offers free studio art workshops where students will receive free passes for the entire family.
