Adventurous families who enjoy hiking will be rewarded with great views from Mount Alava. The approximately seven-mile roundtrip hike runs along the ridge in dense forest to the top of Mount Alava. Along the trail, families will also find World War II gun emplacement sites at Breakers Point and Blunt's Point.

Tips for Families
While the hike to Mount Alava is doable with kids, it’s considered a moderate and challenging hike that takes several hours to complete. However, the views are totally worth it! Wear good walking shoes and bring water and snacks.
