Each year, millions of people visit Mount Rushmore to see the granite carvings of US Presidents George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson and Theodore Roosevelt. These inspiring faces cover 1,278.45 acres and sit 5,725 feet (1,745 m) above sea level. Families can join a free ranger-led walk along the first half of the Presidential Trail to the base of the massive Mount Rushmore carving.
