Located at the Olympic Sports Complex in Lake Placid, New York, the Mt. Van Hoevenberg Bobsled Experience gives riders a chance to feel the thrill of racing down a state-of-the-art track used by Olympic athletes. A professional driver and brakeman accompany each rider, ensuring a fun and safe experience while thundering down the track. The bobsled run begins at the half-mile point on the track and winds through turns known by racers around the world. Kids as young as seven-years-old -- who are at least 48-inches tall -- can ride along as the bobsled speeds through one turn, banks high on the next one and picks up speed on the straightaway. Once the Mt. Van Hoevenberg Bobsled Experience is over, riders are rewarded with a bobsled lapel pin, a 4 x 6 commemorative team photo, T-shirt, membership in the U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton Federation and 20 percent off a second bobsled ride. The Mt. Van Hoevenberg Bobsled Experience is offered in winter and summer. Reservations are recommended since space can be limited.
