Tips for Families

You cannot take food or drinks in which in the case of water I think is wrong for summer weather. But we feel comfortable letting our kids 11 and up go on rides themselves and we just meet back at our towels if need be. The dry rides are nice for early morning or later in the evening when it is cool. You cannot wear your sunglasses on rides so if you think you will drop them out of your hand leave them in your bag.

Tips for Families

The walk from the parking lot to the main attractions is somewhat longer, with a hill on the way Back to the parking lot. Younger children are tired after a full day of play and are often have a hard time walking back to the car on the walk up the hill to the lot. My younger children haven't used a stroller for years but I dug it out and let them take turns riding/resting their legs the last time we went. As with every tourist attraction, the prices for food, snacks, toys can be pricey.

Tips for Families

Get there when they open to avoid the lines. Bring snacks. The food is not cheap! Plan to spend the entire day because there's so much to do. If you're going in early June, make sure you get the "Dells Coupon Book", which will give you 2 for 1 tickets. Single tickets are 40 bucks. The one drawback is they started charging for parking, which is a ripoff if you ask me.

I came here a while back on a trip to Wisconsin Dells with my family. They have probably added a few things since then, but it doesn't look like much. The water ride was alright, not the best I've ever been on. The roller coasters were al...

10 year old love love loved the Pegasus and Cyclops roller coasters, go carts (lord help him when he hits roads without bumpers on the curbs!) and Dragon's Tail. The 7 year old fell in between the kid rides an...

I very possibly have been spoiled by Disney World trips, but ... I brought my husband and two year old daughter to show them where I used to work  (in the indoor water park when it was still called. "Family Land").  The park is under new ownership (the family who owned Big Chief bought it) so admission now includes go-carts and roller coaster.  It isn't worth taking small children.  There are height requirement signs posted but SOME of them will let smaller children on rides/slides with you.  However, you have to ask the lifeguard or ride attendants, many of whom are eastern Europeans, so we received some conflicting answers.  We ended up spending exactly one hour in line for the "family ride" a raft tube sl...

Many things to be said about Mt. Olympus. Ill try to make it short. Water park = eh. Poseidons rage (one HUGE wave in a wave pool hits you i think every five minutes)...It was fun minus my top comming off. Any water slide with a tube was awesome. Hades is/was the only reason I go. Hands down. Who doesnt want to go under a parking lot when there on a roller coaster? The other roller coasters arent up to par. (so go on them before you go on Hades)...also, if you have back problems, be careful, you will have neck and back pain. Go Karts are sooo much fun....if your a kid. If you have a liscense....yeah...not so much fun. Prices is acceptable for what they are offering. Go on a day when its not croweded or else ...

We took my 5 year old son for a quick 3 day trip to escape from Chicago for a few days.  We got an amazing deal which is why we stayed.  We had a promo code and it ended up costing about $250 for two nights.  That includes admission to the indoor waterpark, (it was still too cold for the outdoor park) the indoor amusement park, and the outdoor amusment park.  It was great because we could use our park passes the day of check in and check out.  The outdoor park was only open on the day of check out due to incliment weather. We booked online and had a promo code.  There was an option that said "Book by phone and save $15/night."  Well when we called, the lady told me "No your wrong" and quoted me $100 more tha...
