Tips for Families

Brings jackets. It's shady and gets chilly especially first thing in the morning. Sausalito is good stop for lunch on the way back to the city.

A scenic, serene day trip to Muir Woods

Tips for Families

Get there early to find parking. Or, if traveling in summer, take the Muir Woods Shuttle. Bring a jacket, it gets chilly.

BIG trees, little people.

Tips for Families

First thing you should know going in- a very, very windy road can upset any sensitive tummies in the car. We had the foreknowledge and it helped a lot to be prepared, whatever that may mean for your crew. Again, I emphasize safety on the pathways. Not all families should try this trek, but there are some less strenuous and steep places to see the trees. Nature is a great show!
