Tips for Families

Try to find a deal on groupon or living social for tickets. It can get pricey to take the family there for a day. We got lucky and got a groupon for $48 for a year family membership, that is cheaper than what a 1 day visit would have cost us ! You can also find coupons in entertainment books, that will at least save you a bit of money. If you go during the holiday season, the Christmas Tree exhibit is gorgeous and not to be missed.

Tips for Families

You can go see the submarine including interactive exhibits without paying the extra exhibit fee - the only thing you can't do is go inside the sub (unless you pay).

Tips for Families

Come early and plan to stay the whole day. Unless you really want to see the "extras" wait to buy tickets until you see if you will have enough time (especially with kids)

i love this museum. it's blocks from where my grandparents grew up. they used to take me here when i was little, and returning as an adult always reminds me of those visits. the christmas trees from around the world are well worth a visit if you care to catch some holiday spirit. t...

I went specifically for the German U-boat exhibit.  It was very informative and interesting.  The tour of the actual U-boat is an extra cost ($8) but it was worth it.  You can't take pictures of the inside of the U-boat, but it's still interest...
