As New England’s only interactive, hands-on aquarium, the Mystic Aquarium provides a full range of exhibits and features that are of interest to everyone in the family. Children will enjoy touching penguins, sharks and crabs, and get a kick out of feeding parrots and rays. Adults as well as kids will be fascinated by the new Titanic – 12,450 Feet Below exhibit, with a number of immersive features that educate as well as entertain. A rare beluga whale lives at the aquarium, which can also be touched – it’s quite a thrill. In the Nautilus Theater, sea-bottom exploration through advanced technology is revealed, and visitors can even communicate with the crew of the E/V Nautilus craft underwater. Outdoor sea lion shows are a crowd favorite, and there’s a snack bar and gift shop onsite. The Mystic Aquarium is a sure bet for families vacationing in Mystic.
