The National Maritime Museum is Britain's largest maritime museum and is one of the largest of its kind in the world. The Museum chronicles the extensive history of Britain at sea, containing collections dedicated to maritime art, cartography, manuscripts including official public records, ship models and plans, navigational instruments and instruments for time-keeping and astronomy.
