The largest of its kind in the country, the museum offers a fascinating look at a number of important scientific and technological innovations throughout the centuries. The National Museum of Science and Technology-Leonardo da Vinci also has a clear goal of helping visitors cultivate an interest in science and technology. As such, it offers a plethora of educational activities that engage visitors in both discovery and exploration. Families are able to get hands-on in 13 different educational labs, some of which even feature da Vinci’s experiments and inventions. The 16th century Olivetan monastery that houses the museum is also a sight to behold. While kids will not be able to resist the astronomy exhibits and submarine experience, parents will appreciate a breather in the lovely cloisters and gardens.
