Negro Leagues Baseball Museum preserves those great African-American athletes who changed the game during baseball's early years. Multi-media displays, a museum store and hundreds of photographs and artifacts dating from the 1800s-1960s bring these baseball legends to life. The most impressive display may be the Field of Legends, where bronze statues take their positions on the diamond. Included in the bronze team is Josh Gibson, the man who hit over 80 home runs in 1 season. The baseball enthusiasts of the family will certainly be enthralled by the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, but it is educational for all.
