bring a lunch. There are beautiful adjacent green spaces and an oak tree spot that you can eat at or tables indoors. Save some money that way...you can wrap up your day after lunch or go back in if time allows.

Being a Mechanical Engineer, I was really happy to see all the different types of hands on experiences available for kids to learn. There are so many cool science apparatuses to play with... err, I mean, for kids to play with! These apparatuses touch base on a lot of simple concepts such as electricity (ie. capacitors, circuits, light bulbs, Tesla coils), gravitational potential energy (i.e race cars powered by gravity), sound waves (i.e foam balls placed in clear tube connected to speaker with varying frequency inputs), mechanical leverages, and lots more. Other non-engineering related things to see is human anatomy, chemistry (they have live demonstrations and shows that are fun for kids), ecosystem (live ...
