Do yourself a favor and go book your next adventure with Outfitters Kauai! Are you hoping to see Kauai up close and personal? If you love a good thrill and are looking to get the most bang for your buck, then I suggest signing up for the Kipu Zipline Safari. I dare you to read the web site's tour description and not get excited: http://www.outfittersk... The clincher for me was the fact that this safari offers two different zipline experiences. The first, a single person zipline, sends you flying over treetops for a brisk 800 feet. The second, a tandem zipline, allows you to race a friend for 1,800 feet while soaring above a breathtaking canyon. Incredible on both accounts! The first zipline gives you just a...

i found this place through trip advisor, and it was the top rated. was so excited to do ziplining, one of the few things i was looking forward to in kauai, with all the lush greenery! they were also very accomodating to me changing the time (2 pm to 8 am). we did the Iki Mua zipline, as my friend does not know how to swim, so decided to do the ziplining courses only. It is supposed to be 3 hours long. We gathered in the very air conditioned van with Sepa and Kehau (guessing on the spelling of her name, but pronounced Kay-How), and like the other guides reviewed, they were fun and energetic from the get-go. There was a group of 9 of us, and they started off the 20 minute ride with icebreakers and getting to k...

My 7 year old daughter and I took the 3 hour Iki Mua and had a blast.  Of all the zipline companies we checked, Iki Mua seemed to be the only one that allowed kids as young as 7 years old.   Our guides Andy and Cory were professional, friendly and enthusiastic, which can be hard when you do this twice a day, day in and day out.  They drove about a dozen of us in a van for 20 minutes to their site, and from there it's a short walk to the ziplines.   When you get in the van they give everyone a small lunch carrier with water, juice and a little box of cookies, a nice touch. There are three different lines on this tour, two of which you do twice so it's a total of five times.  This tour doesn't have anything el...

Review for the wild safari adventure -- we immediately felt welcomed by the folks at the shop and Nick, our tour guide. The tour started off with a two mile kayak down the river where you heard "interesting" fantasy stories about curses and gods. After the kayaking, we docked and went on a two mile hike that included a rope swing and swimming hole. Then we rode through the Rice ranch (where they filmed Jurassic park and Hook) to the first 800 foot zipline. This was soon followed by a substantial lunch of sandwiches, pasta salad, and a brownie. After lunch there is an 1800 foot tandem zip line (where you can hang upside down) followed by another mile or so hike to a second watering hole with a zipline and 17 ...

Fabulous intro to zip lining! Took the kids - 3 girls, 2 who are typically nervous about new activities - and all of us had a blast (even the old lady -me). Our guides, Corey and Sepa, were terrific. They supplied a backpack with drinks an...

Napali Coast Kayak trip. First off a huge shout-out to Adam.  One of the best guides we had on the island.  Not only knowledgeable about open-ocean kayaking, but knew every ridge line, every valley, and all the history that went along with it all.  My wife and I both loved having him with us and felt safe and watched out for the entire time we were at sea. The trip.  You've already heard it, but let us repeat: This trip is not for the weak spirited or the out-of-shape.  This is 10 hours of paddling on the open ocean. Over waves, fighting currents, and sometimes directly into the wind.  By the time it's over you feel like your arms are going to fall off your body.  That being said: my wife and I are not avid ...

My husband and I were looking for fun and adventure, but were also traveling with our 3 year old toddler.  This outing was PERFECT!  We were able to kayak over calm water in a beautiful surrounding and learn about the history of Kauai and how it came to be, followed by a small hike (nothing strenuous) where we had fun swinging/jumping from a rope into a pond (or the like).  We enjoyed sandwiches and some pretty sweet brownies (provided by the tour company).  The ziplines were very cool (we had to take turns because we had our child).  I actually especially loved ziplining into the water (over and over again).  The BEST part of the tour was definitely the energetic, informative, kind and witty tour guides - A...
