One Bad Incident (sort of spoiled it)

Submitted by: KarenS

My grand-daughter fell on a slippery bathroom that didn't have a mat and the hotel was not helpful at all. They sent us to a clinic that charged a ridiculous rate for a bandage, wouldn't transport her to the hospital and then said she had to see the doctor again to get bandages which needed to be changed daily. Again, this level of (non) service was […] not expected and was very disappointing. In the US we would have received help to avoid a lawsuit. But hopefully no one else has this type of incident. (But just in case, pack bandaids since the clinic visit is crazy expensive.)Now for the rest...we were there in October and the occupancy rate was very low (a worker said 30%). We were upgraded to the reserve ...

A true paradise!

I had a marvelous time at Paradisus Punta Cana and I didn't want to leave! This is hands down the best Punta Cana resort I've been to and I would go back in a heartbeat. All the employees were extremely attentive and friendly. We stayed in the Reserve area because of a complimentary upgrade and it was well worth it because of the quality of the suite. The resort was spectacular! It has a sophisticated feel without disturbing the natural beauty of its surroundings. The gardens with exotic tropical flora, the decorations, the artwork, the wonderfully scented lobby -- every single detail was taken into account when designing this place. I would love to meet the landscape architects who planned out the gardens to...

Do Your Homework

The Paradisus Punta Cana is actually two properties. The basic Paradisus and The Reserve at Paradisus. Our reservation was at Paradisus and we were somewhat disappointed. While the grounds were impressive, the rooms were standard. There were imperfections which should have been addressed prior to any guests' arrival. Examples are being unable to lock […] the sliding glass door going the balcony, the curtains would not cover the entire sliding glass door (allowing sunlight in), a missing towel rack in the bathroom, etc. In addition, the Paradisus section of the property is undergoing renovations and several units are under construction which results in eye sores and noise. By contrast, The Reserve at Paradisu...

Paradisus Punta Cana is Truly A Paradise

Submitted by: Vacation For Life

This has been my sixth time in five years at this resort and I'm still not tired of it. Even after all these times being there, I could stay there at a minimum for two weeks for each visit. This is not a place for night life but a place to get away from the hustle and bustle and sit back and relax and be pampered for the entire day. If you can afford it I recommend the Royal Service (adults only) and ask for either [...] or [...] at the private Royal Service check in, they will be sure to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Two of the best butlers at The Royal Service, [...] and [...], will amaze you with unimaginable service. As for my families traveling out there, the way to go is The Reserve. It's exc...

Recommended, with some reservations

We enjoyed the location, the scenery (gardens, pools, beaches) and overall ambience, the live music and performances in the Lobby and at the beach. The staff were engaging, lively, friendly and accommodating; at times heroic. A special Thank You to Jonathan and Junior for rescuing Victoria! We spent most time at the beautiful beach and excellent pool with swim-up bar. We did the Dolphin excursion which was highly memorable though travel time was long in each direction. We also very much enjoyed the beautiful April weather and the wide variety of price-included restaurants.Downers: our bed was saggy. A pull-out couch that one of the kids was on was exceedingly lumpy and uncomfortable. Linen service was hit-or-m...

What you see is what you get

The hotel looks just like the pictures on the website. It is very spacious and very pretty. The beach and ocean were beautiful. There was one main pool with a volleyball net but not many organized activities, other than 15 minutes of pool aerobics daily. You must reserve a seat by the pool and on the beach as early as 6:30 am or go without seats. T...
