Paris Aquarium (Cinéaqua), Paris, France
5 Avenue Albert De Mun, Paris, France 75016| Map |
The new Aquarium de Paris (also known as CinéAqua) is located at the trendy Trocadero, just across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower. The CinéAqua features much aquatic life, in tanks large and small. On of their most popular exhibits, the shark tunnel, is a state-of-the-art facility, whose design is just as pleasing as the colorful creatures inside. But, this is not what makes this aquarium extra special. What really makes CinéAqua unique is that it doubles as a “moviemuseum” theatre with 16 screens, showing the latest nature films and their own features in high definition. There are some TV and cinema-related exhibits included, as well as a trivia question kiosk, costume and special effects displays and an area where the kids can play the ''weather guy.'' For dining, try Cafe Petit Jules Verne near the souvenir shop, or the sleek Japanese restaurant Ozu. Kids and adults will enjoy the diversity of the Aquarium de Paris.
