Radio City Music Hall is practically synonymous with the famous dancing Rockettes, and one of the first things visitors to New York want to see. Young dancers grow up with dreams of appearing on Radio City’s giant stage, and for the rest of us it remains one of those must-see attractions. This landmarks Art Deco theater doesn’t just host the Rockettes however, it’s also a concert venue, the scene of splashy movie premieres and other events. Since they are scheduled several times a day, it’s relatively easy to catch a show. The shows themselves are family-friendly and usually include segments of interest to children and teens, such as a “video game” sequences, but people who long for the classic high-kicking chorus line they remember from TV will not be disappointed. November and December feature the well-loved Christmas Spectacular, and there are other themed shows year-round. Families vacationing in New York should definitely see a show at Radio City Music Hall – at least once!
