Two fantastic weeks to visit my brother and his family all the way across the country!

Tips for Families

We had a refrigerator for the room and shopped a local supermarket to save money, making sandwiches and the like for our foursome. The CityPass was a great investment for us, with access to local attractions like the aquarium and museums, (oh yeah, we loved the California Academy of Sciences and the Exploratorium!!!) a visit to the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz via bay cruise, and who could pass on the opportunity to get a ride on a cable car?! Walking around Fisherman's Wharf is a delight for all ages, and doesn't have to be a great expense- we took plenty of photos as mementos rather than buying much. As a bonus, my brother and his family live in the area, so they told us of the highlights, which included a trip to the beach- albeit with stocking caps and coats, even in June!
