Fun, interactive museum for kidsFlag review
This fun museum geared towards kids is located in beautiful Balboa Park. It is also very close to Natural History Museum. This two-story science center is on the smaller side and slightly dated, but every year my son likes to return. Almost all of the exhibits are interactive or hands-on. Some of our favorites are the Bicycle Wheel Gyro, Square Wheels, Tornado and Building Blocks. And of we course enjoy the IMAX Theater. There is also a special area for kids 5 and under.

The Ruben H. Fleet Science Center has been in my life since I can remember. I used to come here on field trips as a child in elementary school, and I was always so excited to check out their awesome exhibits. As...
This is a really good place for kids and toddlers. Most of the exhibitions are essentially hand-on giant toys, so this science center fits perfectly to young kids who just want to play through it. The toddler area is especially attrac...
wonderful place to visit as an adult or kid! very fun and educational (even if you're not a super science nerd.. you'll enjoy it here!) it's very interactive with a lot of games and actual displays that you can touch and operate. so instead of having to tell your kids, KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF! you can actually embrace in the fact that they're running around and playing in a musuem. this is a great way to motivate kids to enjoy learning, and + it'll create a greater impact than just sitting in a boring classroom. an older child or teenager would have fun here too since there's some complex experiments/display. the imax theatre is another good option as well. i've seen the dinosaur, ocean, and lewis & clark one. i...
Overall it is a great place for kids to run around and burn off some energy. It has changed significantly over the years, and I cannot say the improvements are for the best, but my 3 year-old had a great day there. The upstairs kid room (for kids under 5 years old) was greg because it allowed her a place to play without getting run over by o...
I've been here many times though out my life. The admission price is a little high but you can spend hours in the science center messing around with all the different types of hands on exhibits. It is a great place to bring kids since the will be having fun and will be learning stuff along the wa...
