I stayed here for a weekend in May 2012 and it was an absolute treat! The rooms were spacious and included many amenities including a large, flat-screen, t.v., mini-bar, and a ve...
Great staff, great location.
If you happen to be a 1 percenter, no matter how briefly, i.e., money is not a problem, then live it up at the Ritz Carlton in downtown Chicago. The staff there was wonderful, especially at the lobby level's 12th floor restaurant and bar. We were traveling with our nine-month son, and the staff was very indulgent toward him, whether we were having breakfast, cocktails or dinner in that very fabulous lobby with floret-ceiling windows offering close-up view of the city skyline. we were in a suite, which also was great. you know you're not in motel 6 when the dressers, drawers, lamps are all shiny chrome or real wood and brass/steel handles and knobs. the one drawback was that the bathroom was a little small an...
What every 5 star hotel should be!
It is rare that I give such a glowing review but this Ritz really does have it all done perfectly. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The decor is luxurious without being over the top. The views of the City are great. From checkin to housekeeping to the restaurants and doorman, the staff is wonderful. They are inviting and friendly. You get the feeling that if you needed something they would do just about anything the help you. But since they thought of everything you don't really need to ask for anything. The location is obviously terrific. The hotel is in a very busy area of the city but once inside it is like an oasis of calm. I had both room service and dinning at the restaurant on the 12th flo...
Excellent stay. Way beyond our expectations.

To quote my wife: This was the nicest stay in a hotel I have ever had!. She was just discharged from Prentice Women's Hospital after a 3 week inpatient treatment. The staff at the Ritz could not have treated her better. Special appreciation goes out to Natalie at the front desk and Concierge Richard. They went out o...
