A landmark built from compassion and a desire to honor, the Santa Fe National Cemetery is a national shrine, which serves as a reminder of the untold histories of the veterans who fought to preserve our freedom. Rows of headstones and monuments honor the lives and stories of those who willingly and bravely participated in the development of the United States of America. Monuments include a beautifully engraved memorial to World Ware II glider pilots, a China-Burma-India Veterans memorial for those who fought in World War II and the Ft. Craig Post Cemetery Memorial to remember all who perished there in the late 1800s. The Santa Fe National Cemetery is a somber, yet beautiful sight and reminder of the cost of freedom.
