Worth the return visit and hopefully many moreFlag review
We visited this amusement park a year ago with a 1 ½ year old and two pre-teens (as well as other family members). The pre-teens had a blast. There are a ton of rides and water slides packed in all around the park and lines were very manageable (recommend arriving early). The day was extremely hot so the staff stationed some free drinking water stations around, which we appreciated and we took advantage of them. The 1 ½ year old was still a bit young for the kiddie rides, but he was able to ride the carousel (with an adult of course) and wade in the Looney Lagoon (also with an adult) and enjoyed both tremendously. We recently returned this Summer with our now 2 1/2 year old. What a difference in a year. He boldly took on the younger child water park and slides, was able to ride on almost every kiddie ride and we, as a family, enjoyed the carousel, tea cups and train ride. The park is locally owned (not a franchise) and not overwhelming large, so older kids can roam without getting lost. The staff was young--but so energetic, patient and seemed truly happy to be there. It made for a pleasant experience. A stroller is a must for younger kids. Rides include the Jack Rabbit (3rd oldest operating wooden roller coaster), Whirl Wind, Bob Sleds, carousel, bumper cars, a lazy river, lots of water slides, a wave pool, splash zone and much more.
Tips for Families
Bring sunscreen. We went on a Tuesday and a Sunday--so crowds were minimal. Rent a locker. Food is plentiful, however there is also a popular local burger/ice-cream place just outside the park too, called Bill Gray's. There are some lovely views of Lake Ontario from the park and rides.
