Located north of Tulum, in the state of Quintana Roo, Dos Ojos is a flooded cave system discovered in 1987. Since it's discovery, 51 miles of the cave system and 28 sinkhole entrances, known as cenotes have been discovered, yet the exploration still continues today. At 291 feet, the deepest known cave passage in Quintana Roo is located inside Dos Ojos.
