When you need a break from the summer heat, we found a show and more water did the trick.

Tips for Families

No food and beverages (except water) can be brought into the park. We saw many frustrated families have to dump their food or eat it at the gate. The food court area has a pizza/beverage deal that is more reasonable than ordering a la carte food. Bring sunscreen and hats - it's hot here. The season pass is a good value if you will be returning.

I've been to this place numerous times for parties, family times, and other events. My kid comes here for hangouts with the pals. Usually, I had the flash passes so I could cut in line faster :). 3.5 stars. Parties?: Go here for the rides. Sure, stop by for some snacks, but do not go for the food. It is too expensive. Go party at your house unless you're alright spending $100+. Kid price is very low, I don't know if they still do the Coca-Cola can thing. Kid Rides: The Looney Tunes area is a really great place for the little ones. They also love the pet the animals place. The sea area is great as well. My kids kept saying 'COOL!' Shows: Shouka - Whale show. Merlin's Island Party - Dolphin show. Odin's Temple...

Love this place, love their rides. Lines are pretty long but hey, all amusement are is the same. Medusa was definitely one of the scariest ride but the one im scared the most is the V2 Velocity. It was hard for me to breath. We do not really buy any food inside because its expensive. We usually go to Annie's Panda Garden that is nearby to get food. (note: they have THE BEST honey walnut shrimp ever) the ride broke down and we still waited for 20 mins total of 40 minutes. the sky screamer. ATLEAST let us ride it twice. =/ but hey, employees there dont really care much If your looking for an fun day at the amusement park. this is a great place to go with your kids. dont expect too much from the employee as the...

i have been a season pass holder a few times,, but this year was not a good year. the tram guy broke my daughters wagon, (yanked it off) and the wheel busted!) i park in disabled parking and he didnt' even offer me a ride to my van with my stuff , left me to carry it, (i was pretty pist)   this happened august 2 and no one has done anything about it. my friend and her grandkids had a horrible time and got comp tickets, and they combined my broken wagon to give me 7 tickets (6 for her and 1 for my wagon) which was ok but when i got there they said no only 6 tickets, so nothing has been done about my daughters wagon to date. the wagon was 85$ and not a cheap wagon. i have spoken to managers who work there and ...

It's been at least 10 years since I visited this place. My family rarely ever visited because it was too far and you had to pass a toll. Also Great America was just 20 min away. You'd think this place was super awesome because it's got rides and animals. However, it's actually kind of boring. You can pretty much do all the "fun" rides in a few hours. See all the animals in 30 mins. Spend $20-30 for a meager meal. Luckily we didn't pay full price for tickets and I don't recommend anyone to do that. Cons: - Super overpriced food - Horribly drawn maps Pros: - Medusa - Butterfly greenhouse - Shouka, and dolphin encounters The lines for the shuttle can be very long so it may be faster to just walk to your car/the...

Not worth the money. We went for fright fest which is just a scam to get more money out of you. All the halloween stuff costs extra. They also rank for me as having the all time worst park food I've ever had and most of the staff look like unhappy sweat shop workers. This was my first ever visit to this park. My previous six flag experiences have all been in other states which have all been 4 and 5 star experiences. If you live in California just spend a little extra and just go to Disneyland. They know how to do theme park right. Otherwise this place is only good for people who live close by and want an educational animal experience for their young kids. If you fall in any other category be prepared for lon...

I've been to Six Flags a few times now. I've enjoyed myself in the past, but this time was quite disappointed in the Halloween extravaganza. Although everyone pays kids price (if you order online), you still need to pay an extra $15 ($20 if you want VIP to 'skip' the lines) to get into the haunted houses which open at around 5pm. By the time you figure this out though, the lines are so ridiculous. ATLEAST a 45 minute wait each. Unfortunately, we only got to get into 2 out of 6 or 7 mazes, one being extremely disappointing. What a waste of time and money! Not sure if the schedule for activities, animal feedings, etc are posted online, but I'd recommend planning out your day beforehand to get the most of your ...

I grew up coming here as a kid at its old site and now we've been coming here with my girls. It's so Ohana-oriented and clean. Yeah you drop money here but it all goes to the park. Have you ever tried the smoked turkey leg? OMGosh! It's so tender and comes off the bone,...
