Description

The National Museum of American History collects, preserves and displays the heritage of the United States in the areas of social, political, cultural, scientific and military history. Among the items on display are the original Star-Spangled Banner and Archie Bunker's chair.

Oh so many artifacts here.  From the flag that flew over Ft. Sumter (that inspired our national anthem), to the chair that Archie Bunker sat in on the TV show "All in the Family", this place is a goldmine for many historian...

I was hoping for a real museum.  This is more of a kids place... which is great if you have kids, but not if you were hoping for some real history.   What it is not includes: comprehensive, logically laid out, chronological, historical or particularly interesting for an adult.  There are not many great pieces of Americana there other than th...
