A family-owned homestead for well over 65 years, Vermont’s beautiful Sugarbush Farm is the perfect countryside escape for city dwellers. Boasting roughly 6,000 maple trees, 100 heads of cattle and 550 rolling green acres, this working farm is a great place to indulge those “good life” fantasies. Sugarbush Farm is open to visitors of all ages year-round. During the spring and summer guests can observe the plowing, planting and hay cutting, and take part in interesting maple sugaring presentations. In the fall and winter months the magnificent colors and tasty treats are the biggest attractions. Featuring numerous award-winning, farm-made cheeses, mouthwatering maple syrup, fruity jams and even homemade mustard, any family is sure to find a decadent souvenir. Kids will also love making friends with the farm’s many chicken, rabbits, sheep and goats, and will ooh and ahh at the massive (but gentle) Belgian draft horses. Admission is always free, and so are the delectable samples!
