Families can spend a fun day in Sydney, Australia at the SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium where they will encounter over 650 different species of marine life. The aquarium is designed for people all ages, making it a great place to visit with kids. Just a five to 10 minute walk from the central business district, it is also accessible via bus, train or light rail. There are daily talks and feedings at the park, each one focusing on specific animals like rays, sharks or penguins. Visitors should stop by the onsite retail store to purchase some merchandise. There are also a several onsite eateries, including the Aqua Cafe, Midway Cafe and Aqua Snacks. Some must-see areas of the aquarium include the Bay of Rays, Shark Caves and Clownfish Garden. There is even a Great Barrier Reef exhibit where people can get a closer look at the largest living system on the planet. The only dugongs on display in all of Australia can be found in the Dugong Island section. The Shark Walk gives visitors a chance to walk over some of the largest sharks in the world. There are special tours and experiences available, such as the Shark Reef Snorkel where families can put on snorkeling gear and go underwater inside of a glass enclosure that allows them to come face to face with sharks and other sea creatures. Visitors can also sign up for a glass bottom boat tour or a behind the scenes tour of the aquarium.
