Families in search of outdoor fun and adventure will have a great time at Sydney Olympic Park. There are lots of kid-friendly activities going on at the park, including a Kids at the Park program during school holidays. This program gives little ones the chance to do arts and crafts, take part in workshops and play sports with other kids their age. With more than 50 pieces of outdoor art to explore, visitors will have fun examining the many works that can be found all over the grounds. The Riding the Rails exhibit is a short train ride that runs every Sunday from 11:30am to 1:30pm and is a must-see attraction for train lovers of all ages. The park offers Taekwondo lessons on Mondays and Thursdays and families can also sign up for parent and baby swimming lessons every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Art fans will want to check out one of the free contemporary art exhibits at the park. Exhibits are usually found in the Newington Armory, which has a theater, outdoor amphitheater and various art studios. Several large sports venues are located at Sydney Olympic Park. These include the ANZ Stadium, Hockey Centre and Allphones Arena. There are lots of bike trails for riders of all skill levels and bike rental facilities can be found at the park as well. While cycling around the area, parents and little ones will find playgrounds, picnic sites and plenty of shaded areas where they can relax.
