One doesn’t often have the chance to step back into history and walk around in a UNESCO Historical Site, but a trip to the Taos Pueblo provides just that. The Taos Pueblo is an actual town with adobe buildings that have been continuously occupied for over a thousand years. For those visiting Taos, the Pueblo is a must-see – and is considered the number one attraction of this fascinating historic town. Guided tours are available every day, and delicious Native American foods are available to buy. Of course traditional jewelry and pottery is for sale, and the Indian people who live and work there are very friendly and patient with visitors. Depending on the season and day, traditional dances may be held, along with other special events. Families vacationing in northern New Mexico will find the Taos Pueblo an amazing experience.
