The Franklin Children's Garden, Toronto, Ontario
Centre Island, Toronto, ON, Canada, Toronto, Ontario| Map |
Inspired by Franklin the Turtle, the beloved protagonist of Paulette Bourgeois' children's book series, Franklin Children's Garden is an interactive garden that gives children the chance to plant, play and observe wildlife. Children will love gardening, listening to stories in the Storytelling Amphitheater, playing in the treehouse and visiting with sculptures of Franklin and his friends. The park encourages kids to dig in the garden in order to learn how plants grow. It is, after all, a garden just for kids, giving them the opportunity to see turtles, frogs, birds and plantlife in their natural habitat. The Vine Tunnel and Unilever Snail Trail provide spaces for kids to run, crawl, climb and play all day. In short, Franklin's Children's Garden is devoted to playtime and imagination.
