Extending from Broadway to Harbor Drive and covering more than 16 city blocks, the Gaslamp Quarter in downtown San Diego has been around since 1867 and is now registered as a historic district. It is home 94 historic buildings, most of which were built during the Victorian Era, and has become one of San Diego's most popular haunts by locals and tourists as the site of several shops, restaurants, night life venues, and several events and festivals.
