Ritz-Carlton, Nice hotel but Not five star
My family and I stayed at the Ritz Carlton the last week of July, 2011. The hotel and grounds were beautiful. The staff were excellent for the most part. The beach was awful, rocky ...water shoes a must. The room was fine but the maid service was not good. Had to call on three separate occasions to have room cleaned after returning at the end of the day. I guess I would agree with other guests that the drinks and food are very over-priced. The food was awful, more like what you would expect from a 3 star resort, especially the breakfast buffet (lacked variety, poor quality of fruit, bacon was overcooked and greasy, sausage was colorless and tasteless). Very nice but not for families
Stayed at this resort during spring break 2011. Very nice and staff was excellent. Very disappointed with the beach rocky, small, alot of seaweed and couldnot snorkel of beach. Disappointed with all inclusive. Alot of extra charges for food and drinks. Surcharge per person to eat at white witch restaurant which is part of the resort. No night life what so ever. Good couples resort at night ballad singer at one restaurant and harps, pionos etc at the other. Menu doesnot change same items every meal and only 3 restaurants need more variety. Asked if they change menu they said every few months. One of the highlights of our trip was Eldon Spence the breakfast guitar player. Very up beat, friendly and even took th...
Very nice but will not return to Ritz!!
very nice hotel and grounds. Day time activities for kids but nothing in the evening. In my opinion becomes a couples resort with dining that requires a dress code and either piano player violinist, etc. No clubs or dancing, All inclusive plan has additional fees for items on the menu and to eat at a 3rd restaurant on the golf course and certain liquers. their are 2 restaurants and the menu is the same every night. We enjoy snorkling of the beach can not do that at this resort. Beach is small and very rocky. Very disappointed. The staff was very nice, grounds and rooms are nice. I felt we could have satyed at a least expensive resort and had a better time. We were on a tour to Dunn's River Falls with a group ...
