I really didn't have high hopes for this show.  I was suprised that I enjoyed it as much as I did.  The skiing was so so.  Quite a few falls and failed stunts but that stuff happens.  The hang ...

It's fine.  My family went because the tickets came free with the condo we got at the Kalahari.  I'm not sure how I would have felt if I would have paid to go.  The water skiing part, was actually not as good as the second half.   The second half included a magician, peop...

Thank God they changed the show's theme. They come up with a new one every two years or so. This year it has something to do with their 60th anniversary, so they have some retro theme going on. It's still hokey, but now much more tolerable. The first half of the show is on the water (entertaining, gets a little old after a while), the second half contains various acts like a juggler, acrobats, and a couple that runs on the outside of a big metal wheel-like thing. The best act by far is the comedian, which had the entire audience laughing with his old-man jokes. The grand finale is this weird water show (like the Bellagio divided by 100) and a laser montage of "America" with the song I'm Proud to be an America...

I thought this show was a nice attraction. It's great for the family. It's something different..there were water-skiers, fast boats, a guy flying in a kite really high up in the sky and landing in the water, and a talent/stunt showcase. The first half had all the water skiing and stunts. The second half had different talent acts. I enjoyed the second half of the show more. I really liked that guy that kept on saying "You like it? I'll do it again." He was funny and was the best act I thought. The acrobats were pretty neat too. The first half/water part was so-so. I wasn't completely impressed. I expected more stunts. They weren't as great as I thought they would be. There were several mistakes throughout the...

I have been coming to the Wisconsin Dells for years. The Tommy Bartlett Water Show has always been a highlight of our visits. I haven't been to it in 3 yrs. I have never been so disappointed by a show in my life. What used to be major acts and pro skiers is now a poor excuse of what it was. The first half of the show was a bunch of college kids doing skiing that most amateurs could do. The poor skiing was punctuated by dumb skits that resembled something you would see at a summer camp. The "air" part of the show was 2 "acrobats" that climbed up poles, swayed back and forth for 2 minutes and then slid down the poles. The whole act lasted less than 5 minutes. They claim they had performed for "the Queen" and "...

I can't believe I didn't review this guy before. I've been in love with this show since I was teeny weenie and don't remember it specifically. They change up the routine every so often but my parents still complain the years when it's exactly the same. If you frequent the Dells it IS disappointing to see the same show but I still enjoy doing it. It's one of those things you just HAVE to see when you go to the Dells. This year I went and they completely redid the show. They had a new "plot/storyline" for their ski show which was a lot more acting than they have had in the past. The skiers were great, less action than in previous years though (just slightly). The announcer is still there (as he has been for a ...

The trick to enjoying this show is to understand that you're in for cheesy entertainment. And don't think they don't know it's cheesy(complete with ABBA songs and 70s references). This show is basically in two parts: the first part with the boats and water skiing, and the second part that's more circusy. Part 1: slow and cheesy to start, there were some cool jumps and tricks and if you relax into the mood, the show is entertaining. It's clear that the kids in the show put a lot of effort into their routine, so A for a lot of effort. Also the grand finale was kinda cool (not giving that away). Part 2 was totally awesome and made coming all worth it for me. They got some great acts. I'm guessing if you want to...
