Canada's premier zoo, the Toronto Zoo, is home to over 5,000 animals representing over 500 species. This spacious zoo has over six miles of walking trails. So, families should come with their walking shoes handy. However, what really makes this zoo stand out is its kid-sized entertainment. There is even a special kid's zoo, which offers children an interactive wildlife experience. In addition, kids can splash to their hearts content on Splash Island, a two-acre water play area. Some of the must-see exhibits include the polar bear habitat and the gorilla rainforest. Also, in Spring 2013 the zoo will be receiving two pandas from China! A rare gift, that makes the Toronto Zoo one of the few places to see this endangered breed.
