Beautiful SceneryFlag review
We had a free aftaternoon, so decided to explore the beach and trails at Torrey Pines (we were staying in La Jolla, so a quick drive). We spent a good hour walking up and down the beach. The cliffs were beautiful and the rocks along the ocean came in all colors. After we drove up to the upper parking lot, visited the small but well down visitor center, and then hit several of the trails. The trails are kept up wonderfully, easy to walk on and all the trails were easy enough for all the kids to keep up with and enjoy. Beautiful views at every turn. Flowers, plants, cliffs and oceans. I could have easily spent the entire day exploring, but it is easy enough to visit in a couple of hours.
Tips for Families
Once inside the parking lot, drive up to each of the trail heads and park there - have the kids save their energy from the trails and not the steep walk up the road.
