Centrally-located, charming boutique hotelFlag review
Located smack dab on Powell Street one block from the historic cable car turnaround and walking distance to Chinatown, shopping centers and numerous restaurants, this boutique hotel was an ideal home base for our family of five. We stayed in an upper corner kids' suite (complete with books and games), which gave us enough space to spread out and enjoy an awesome view of Powell Street. Hearing the ringing of cable car bells outside gave us a true sense of being in San Francisco. Once we parked our car, we never drove during our entire three-trip trip. Between the cable car and walking, we were able to easily access all of our destinations. We heard there’s a ghost that haunts the hotel but we never experienced it – although my teens were curious! Can't remember the name of it, but we had a great Thai dinner at the small restaurant located on the right side of the hotel entrance.
Tips for Families
Ask for the kids suite to ensure enough space for your family. It's an older (but renovated) boutique hotel - nothing fancy but centrally located and comfortable.
