Tips for Families

They have stroller parking everywhere so I would bring the stroller. They let you bring food and drinks in so I would do that. If you drink soda's - they're expensive and the 'refillable' cup is almost not worth it unless you get like 6 refills.

Tips for Families

The Front of Line passes get you park admission, priority access on attractions and reserved seats at shows. Buy these online to ensure their availability. We've used these passes a couple of times and were glad we did.

Tips for Families

Spend the money on the VIP tour. It's $300/person but includes entry ticket, breakfast and lunch. And NO WAITS on lines!

Universal Studios is always a neat experience but I've noticed as I've gotten older it's often been disappointing.   The rides seem quite short compared to some other theme parks. My wife and I both enjoyed "Revenge of the Mummy" but the ride lasts barely 2 minutes of which the first minute is spent with the car moving slowly through the scenes. Jurassic Park is about a 5 minute ride - again, quite entertaining but if you spent 45 minutes or more in line it seems to be over almost before you've begun. The Simpson's ride is excellent - but goes so fast that it was almost hard to understand what was happening in the ride. Just hang on and enjoy it was my strategy. Food in the park is o.k. but City Walk is just...

This place is cool. It gets Park so i would go during the week as we did and even then it was pretty bad. I got straight to the bottom of the park for the tours and shows. My favorite part of Universal. Food is ju...

Hooray, my first Yelp review! So, last weekend I visited Universal, and as an LA local, I've been there quite a few times over the years, including a few times this year alone. I frequent the park because it's so close and convenient, and me and a couple friends have passes there. I like to go to Universal because it's always got a fun, festive atmosphere going and the City Walk has nice places to eat and shop after we're done hanging out at the park. Not to mention, it's also a fun place to people-watch - all of LA comes out there, from emo/gothy teens, to 20-something  hipsters, to families, to gawking tourist groups. The one draw drawback to Universal - and it's kind of a big one, is that they don't updat...

#345 It's been a long while since I last made my way to Universal Studios, though I have hovered around City Walk way too many times. I went often as a kid, but grew out of this place by the time I hit my teens. I still ventured out with friends just for the sake of it, but I would never crave the Universal Studios experience. My favorite would obviously have to be the Studio Tour; I always begged my parents to take us there before it closed down earlier in the night. Jurassic Park was a big hit when it first came out, but I don't know if I would enjoy it these days. Been there, done that, you know? Water World was always a point of fascination, though I wouldn't want to repeat the experience yet again. As f...
