Tips for Families

You need to get a locker for all your stuff. No charge for 20 minutes so just move from locker to locker when you have to get on a new ride if you dont want to keep your stuff in there all day or pay any fees.

Tips for Families

- If you bring an infant or a small toddler, be prepared to swap on almost every ride. - Stay hydrated - this park can get hot on a summer day!

Harry Potter world is excellent

Submitted by: Jomil0423

The Harry Potter world is excellent for kids and adults of all ages. The Islands of Adventure is a good place to visit but there are not enough things for adults/young children to do. We arrived at 10:00am and our bus was not picking us up until after 7:00pm and once we went through the parks once it was enough. We had 2 hours to spare. It was too cold to go on the water rides and I am not exactly happy to go on anything like roller coasters or jumping rides. The sinbad area is just plain stupid to visit. There is nothing special there and not very exciting. I did enjoy Jurassic park and Suess land but other than that the park is not that great. They need to add additional rides/things to do for the park to ...

First Time for Us!

Submitted by: orr333

We are perpetual Disney people but have not been to any of the Universal parks. This year, having lost 120 pounds, I knew I'd fit in the coasters so we decided to give it a try. PROS are the Wizarding World and while I know they are trying to emulate the feel of the story, the streets and stores are just too small to handle the crowds even in the low season we went. Universal (and other parks) have not mastered the art of moving people like Disney. We enjoyed much of the park and the rides were fun. Still many of the rides seemed to lack the storyline and theming that Disney adds. CONS: Pterradon Flyers - cannot ride without a small child in your group. Odd. We despised the fee they wanted for their version ...
