Upper Geyser Trail, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
The southwest part of Grand Loop Rd, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming| Map |
The Upper Geyser Basin is home to Old Faithful and four other large, predictable geysers. The Upper Geyser trail is a good vantage point from which to watch Old Faithful when the area around it gets too crowded.

More to this place than Old FaithfulFlag review
There is a lot more to see in the Upper Geyser Basin than just Old Faithful, though obviously that's the star attraction. This boardwalk hike features a lot of other cool geysers and offers many good vantage points to watch Old Faithful.
Tips for Families
Do this hike about an hour before an Old Faithful eruption or just after one, so you can see it twice -- once from the viewing deck and once from the Upper Geyser Basin boardwalk.
