Viva Berlin is a way for the youth to get in touch with the city. Young guides, with a real passion for all that Berlin has to offer, give tours based on certain themes, such as, the ''Cold War'' and ''Essential Berlin.'' There is also a special tour offered of the Sachsenhausen concentration camp and Memorial where visitors can hear the life story of Martin Niemöller, who was incarcerated in the Gestapo prison. The tour is both touching and haunting. What makes these tours special is their focus on Berlin as a living city. They are not just about history, but focus on how history has shaped the modern world. With youthful guides, relatable to teens and filled with the spirit of Berlin, Viva Berlin shows off the city in a way that is truly unique.
