Outdoor waterpark with loads of ridesFlag review
Set on 64 acres north of downtown Denver, Water World is huge. And it's packed with families during the summer months. Warn your children they'll likely have to wait in line for coveted tube rides and water slides (if it's a hot, sunny day). Otherwise, the vast wave pool is fun, and there are water sprays and tame slides for toddlers and preschoolers. If you want to hit a lot of the rides/slides, I recommend packing water shoes you'll wear all day, since you will be walking from attraction to attraction a lot.
Tips for Families
Get in line before the park opens so you can be one of the first ones let in, to secure a shady or grassy spot with lounge chairs - otherwise you might find yourselves set up on your towels in a corner of the pavement with no shade. Better yet, splurge on a private cabana.
