The Weisman Art Museum building is a sight in itself. Designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry, designer of the Disney Concert Hall, the buildings sweeping, geometric stainless steel exterior is certainly a feat of modern art. Inside, visitors will find a 20,000 plus image collection featuring Native American Mimbres pottery and Korean furniture. Modern art is the museum's specialty and artworks by Marsden Hartley, Alfred Maurer, Charles Biederman and many more are on display for all to view. As it is located on the University of Minnesota Campus, the Weisman Art Museum is a great place to inspire children to reach for educational and artistic prestige.
