Whale’s Tale Waterpark guarantees hours of wet and wild fun for all ages. Castaway Cove is a great spot to set down base camp. Featuring an 85-foot heated pool, three enormous hot tubs and table service, it’s the perfect place to unwind. While parents float along the lazy river or relax in Castaway Cove’s private cabanas (available by reservation or first come, first serve) kids can go nuts in the wave pool or splash in the shallows. Younger kids especially dig Whale Harbor, a unique activity area complete with waterslides, fountains and a water see-saw that toddlers adore. Older kids will love the Harpoon Express, a nearly 400-foot, bobsled-style tube ride, while younger kids can get their thrills on the slightly less gut-wrenching Beluga Boggin. If that isn’t enough daredevils of all ages can literally take the Plunge, literally. This heart-pounding drop slide allows riders to reach up to 40 mph! The Summerfest Concert Series - held Saturdays during July and August - also provides great free afternoon entertainment. Hungry visitors can choose from three different themed restaurants: the delicious Porthole Pizzeria, Harborside Restaurant and Oasis Beach Bar and Grill. Breakers Surf Shop is a great place to pick up a gnarly souvenir or some emergency sunblock.
