Whistler Museum, Whistler, Canada
4333 Main Street, Whistler, Canada V0N 1| Map |
The Whistler Museum offers a respite from the outdoors and is an excellent way to learn about the area and its history. Exhibits and workshops tell Whistler’s stories from the pioneer days to the creation of Whistler Blackcomb and, of course, the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. For kids, there are activity books, a tickle trunk and interactive exhibits enabling youngsters to take a photo with a real Olympic torch. At the hands-on exhibit, Hosting the World, visitors can hold an actual Olympic torch and try on an Olympic ski bib.
