St. Augustine’s World Golf Village and Hall of Fame is home to a lifetime of golf memorabilia, as well as an IMAX theatre, an 18-hole natural grass putting course, a tasty restaurant and a golf-centric gift shop. As the name implies, visitors can travel around the golfing globe in one easy stop. Die-hard fans will enjoy having their photo taken on the famous Swilcan Burn Bridge at The Old Course at St. Andrews, wandering through the extensive museum collection, peeking into the Member Locker Room and testing out the old-fashioned hickory clubs. Visitors can also check out the list of Hall of Fame inductees and related memorabilia. Special exhibits featuring golf great Nancy Lopez and American entertainer Bob Hope are also a highlight. Perhaps the World Golf Village and Hall of Fame’s most unique feature is the collection of thrilling sound bytes captured over the years. Hearing the roar of the crowds and words of wisdom from golf’s superstars is sure to bring a smile to any face. Kids will especially love the Science of Golf exhibit.
