Young paleontologists will dig the displays and fossils at the Wyoming Dinosaur Center. The center has more than 30 mounted dinosaurs and a modern preparation laboratory. Among the featured displays in the Hall of Dinosaurs are two Velociraptor specimens, which are shown hunting the early horned dinosaur, Protoceratops. The Walk Through Time displays are arranged from earliest life forms to dinosaurs and mammals. Among the collection are fossil fish from Scotland, flying reptiles from Brazil, marine reptiles from Russia and Switzerland and fossil dinosaur eggs from China and Argentina. In addition, dig sites offer a rare opportunity to see dinosaur bones in the ground and actual excavation. The Wyoming Dinosaur Center also offers a Dig for a Day excursion for an additional fee. Following an orientation, participants are brought to the dig sites. Lunch, digging tools and transportation are included.
