Zoo World, the Zoological & Botanical Conservatory in Panama City, is a great little zoo with an emphasis on education. Home to over hundreds of animals and exotic plants, Zoo World is popular with families looking for a fun day trip. With its mission to engage people with respect to understanding and conserving animal life, the zoo staff takes time to interact with visitors and is happy to answer questions at every stop on the way. Live animal shows are scheduled three times a day at Zoo World. The Going Wild show focuses on reptiles and small mammals, and the Parrot Show is an entertaining visit with several species and sizes of parrots. The Alligator Presentation is an up-close look at this powerful reptile, and the popular Wolf Show includes a photo op with two wolves, and even a chance to pet them. There’s a petting zoo for the little ones who may miss out on the wolf experience, or are afraid of them. Visitors may also see baby animals in the Nursery, and watch them being bottle-fed. One-on-one animal encounters are available as well, where kids and adults can interact with lemurs, wolves, tiger cubs and more. Zoo World is an enjoyable destination for visitors of all ages.
