Easy Half Day Attraction For All Ages

Flag review

There is a lot of photo opportunities and areas for the kids to play throughout the park. The park itself is quite tiny compared to San Diego Zoo but its attractions are nice. They offer Giraffe feedings and my 2 year old LOVED it! He ran around the turtle area and the monkey area a lot too. We ate lunch there and it wasn't overly pricey.

Tips for Families

Bring lots of sunblock, I felt like half the animals were in the sun. They have a refillable drink cup that was nice. Don't forget cash to feed the Giraffe's!

A Gem of a Place!

Flag review

This place is HUGE! My toddler loved it so much we had to set a timer and make him leave. He loved all the slides, ball pits and air guns! My infant rolled around in the small children's area. My husband and I both got in the jungle gym and played with my toddler and there was plenty of room. It's $9 a day and they are open every day from 10am-8pm.

Tips for Families

You can bring your own food and there are tables available. You must wear socks (parents too) so be sure to bring some if you have on flip-flops. There is a nursing room which is very nice and it's air conditioned which makes it perfect for a hot Sacramento Day after all the museums are closed.

All-in-one park close to the freeway

Flag review

There is a lot of trails that are quick and easy to walk on and there is two different playgrounds. One of older kids and one for less than 2-3, I would say. There's also a water pad that is fantastic on a hot day! We stopped here by pure accident because our kiddos needed to get out of the car and release some energy! It was such a great find!!

Tips for Families

Bring an extra set of clothes because they will get wet! There is also a restroom very near the playground which is a plus!

Movie-Central

Flag review

My toddler loved the one ride they had that he could go on (due to his age and height) and we rode it about 6 times, they he loved playing in the 'park area' and water area. He really enjoyed the Pet show and Water World show and wanted to do them again! But, that was about all he could do.

Tips for Families

They have stroller parking everywhere so I would bring the stroller. They let you bring food and drinks in so I would do that. If you drink soda's - they're expensive and the 'refillable' cup is almost not worth it unless you get like 6 refills.

Something for most everyone!

Flag review

My husband saw the planetarium show and loved it, I did the free scavenger hunt available through their website. My infant loved watching the lights on exhibits and pendulum at the entrance and my toddler loved the stars in the basement, the show they had in the downstairs theater, pushing the buttons on all the exhibits (as I read them) and weighing himself on each planet.

Tips for Families

Plan your trip around the on-sale/buying/showtimes. I watched both kids while the hubby did the show but had to be in line so early it took more than an hour to buy tickets before sold out, waiting in line 20 minutes early and then watching the 25 minute show.

Great Children's Restaurant

Flag review

The food was a bit pricey but after we got our plates and saw how much food there was and how good it tasted we were not a bit disappointed! They had plenty of high chairs and even had a monitored room (though there were hours) where kids could play unaccompanied for up to 3 hours (for a small fee, I believe it was $15). There were a ton of things for the kids to do!

Tips for Families

It is a bit tight but they will let you check your stroller for free.

All - in - One Museum

Flag review

This was an awesome museum and if our schedule wasn't so jam packed we would have come back the second day! There are so many interactive areas to include a huge water table, real boat for the kids to climb in and around, an ambulance to play in and several areas to play dress-up, an interactive wheels on the bus wall and a market to shop in. Even my 4 month old enjoyed the one completely padded room with infant teething toys.

Tips for Families

Plan to be here at least 2-3 hours and pack a lunch, they let you bring food in.
