Kidtastic Creative Experience with Plenty of Active Play Too!

Flag review

We had a great time, even my pre-teen loved it. We had been to the Crayola Factory several times before. It was OK, but my daughter typically got bored and was ready to go after about an hour. They have made great changes for the new Crayola Experience including a 65-foot water table, a nod to the canal museum that used to occupy the upper two floors of the factory, and a climber/play area. There are plenty of craft areas and product use areas in addition to bringing art to life, you color a drawing and then send it to the big screen where you can interact with it, a photo booth that puts your picture on a coloring page and much more!

Tips for Families

The Crayola Experience is best for preschoolers and up. There is a tot area, but there is no definition between where the little kids play and everyone else. Also, the tot area is just as appealing to older kids as it is to the little ones. The age cut off is about late elementary, however creative middle schoolers will find it enjoyable as well.

Hershey Park Candylane Fun

Flag review

There is no better place for kids at Christmas time then Hershey, PA, especially Hershey Park's Candylane. Select rides are open, along with added attractions such as a holiday-themed live performances in the Music Box Theatre, strolling musicians, Santa's reindeer and Santa himself. Don't miss the Kissing Tower that takes you high above Hershey and lets you see the entire town along with the park. Its perfect just as the lights are coming on! The lights are fabulous. Our favorite is the light show that takes place every 1/2 hour for about 20 minutes. The lights are choreographed with music. Parking is $8 and park entry is $12.95 per person.

Tips for Families

Arrive early. Many families wait until it gets dark to see the lights, however if you arrive early, the lines are shorter. Be certain to stop in Chocolate World on your way in or out of the park. There you'll find the Chocolate Experience, a FREE ride all about how Hershey's chocolate is made, plus a little history about Hershey.
