A ncie amusement park for all ages

Flag review

Great Adventure is a very large amusement park. I think its best for older kids but there are 2 areas with rides that are appropriate for the younger set. They have a new Safari attraction this year. Its a bit long and the wait time is long, but may be worth it for some. The eateries are typical amusement park fare.

Tips for Families

I would go on a cloudy day, earlier in the day or in April or May to avoid the waits

A great zoo, but a lot of walking

Flag review

It is a great, comprehensive zoo and like all of the Smithsonian museums, it is free! There is a lot of walking and it definitely takes a lot of time to cover. It is also convenient to the metro so you don't have to pay to park.

Tips for Families

bring a stroller for young ones

Great for younger kids

Flag review

Great for the younger set. Very family friendly and lot of chain restaurants around if you want to eat off property.

Tips for Families

Go during the week or in May or June to avoid the crowds.

Great option for Disney

Flag review

It was close to Magic Kingdom and accessible to parks via boat or bus.

Tips for Families

The quick serve restaurant is a great place to stop in the AM before you get going for the day.
